Invitation

I have wanted to do something in order to start a group of women who have a desire to serve God with our whole heart. I have thought of doing a book study or just to start with conversations to express how we feel about serving God. Think about the busyness of the day that it seems that blogging is the easiest way to start. If you are interested please join in.

  1. Sounds great.....Blogging to get started is a great idea. Then, slowly coming together with the study books will enhance the sessions. What a great way to come together as servants for one another and with a common goal that will help prepare for the spiritual warfare that we are currently facing. Learning how to gird ourselves with the whole armor of God can be a rewarding experience and lesson for all.

  2. Great coming together. Food for thought. Do we ever think of getting out of the box that we have set for ourselves. God wants us to expand and to be fruitful. I was listening to Joyce Meyer this morning. I think we have a tendency to hinder our growth by not looking beyond what is in front of us. God wants us to expand our territory. To get out of the box. The idea of starting this group started several months ago and I just let time pass and did not feel that there would be anyone who would be interested in participating. Now it is time for me to stop thinking about what people will or will not do and do what the Lord has laid on my heart to do. This is a confirmation that it is the right thing to do. I am going to start stepping out of the box. NEB

  3. Have a Happy New Year. God will guide us through 2009 all we have to do is to let Him. Bless you and remember we serve a great God.

  4. Happy New Year! You know I was talking with my godmother's husband tonight. It does not seem that she has been dead for 2 years, but he said it was. He also said something that is very sensible to me. He said that we all need balance in our lives I said we should be centered which to me is the same thing. If we do not have balance or centering we will not be able to function as well. He also stated that he looks to God for the guidance, wisdom, and understanding to do what is best. Question is do we totally turn everything over to God so that He can help us in our journey? Are we afraid to give up total control to Him? I know that if it were not for Him I would not be able to do all that I have been able to do. Everything that I do or that has happened has been through my faith in God and to give Him all that glory for the things He has done. I am learning to trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not to my own understanding and to acknowledge God in all things and He will truly guide our paths. NEB

  5. Good Morning,
It has been a while since I have logged in. I hope everyone has had a Happy New Year. This is an exciting year so far. Exciting in that we are still here to worship and praise our God. God is so awesome. He has and always will be here for us, the question is are we always here for Him? In our Sunday School lesson on yesterday, the discussion was on "The Eye of the Beholder" coming from The Songs of Solomon. Thinking about the love of the King and the Shulamite woman and the 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman it is what our relationship with God should be. We should also develop a wonderful intimate relationship with God following what the 5 steps are. Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service (Devotion), Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch (Intimacy), these are all that should be in a relationship, as well as, the relationship we should have with God. In developing this relationship this will allow us to serve Him in Spirit and in Truth.
